Most extended health plans cover therapy sessions with a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW). We recommend checking with your provider to confirm your coverage and claims process.
While we do not offer direct billing at this time, we provide an invoice after each session that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
We also offer limited sliding scale spots. If cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’ll do our best to support you.
-
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
If something comes up and you need to cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, please reach out — we’ll do our best to work with you.

We offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide if Vel Psychotherapy feels like the right fit. You can request a consultation through our Book a Session page, and someone from our team will connect with you within 1–2 business days to schedule your call.
There’s no pressure — just a chance to ask questions, get a feel for the process, and see if you’d like to begin therapy.

No referral is needed. You can book directly with us — whether you're new to therapy or returning after time away.
